Despite their near-monopoly position, the company was behind the times from a digital perspective, especially ticketing. The company embarked on a digital transformation initiative with ‘Transactions’ as the first priority – making purchasing and booking amazingly simple and fast, and available across every possible channel. As such, a site revamp and relaunch of the mobile ticketing app were key initiatives that resulted in multi-million-dollar savings through new paperless ticketing (mobile app product), and millions generated through reversed cart abandonment from website personalization programs.
